Order Protection Add-On Policy

We understand how frustrating it can be when a package goes missing during transit or, in the worst-case scenario, gets stolen. Once your package leaves our office, it is under the control of the delivery service. Resolving issues with lost or stolen packages can be time-consuming and often involves filing a claim with the carrier or even contacting your local police department. To offer you peace of mind, we provide an Order Protection Add-On.

With our Order Protection, we guarantee that you will receive a new order without any additional payment for either products or shipping charges if your package is lost or stolen.

How to File a Claim

What to do if your package is stuck in transit, damaged, or stolen:

  • If youā€™ve added Shipping Protection to your order, contact us immediately at support@blusharkstraps.comĀ 
  • If you didn't add shipping protection to your order,Ā please read our policy below or click here.Ā 

    Claim Filing Time Frames:

    • Claims must be filed within specific time frames to be covered:
      • Packages Presumed Lost: Claims for packages that are marked as ā€œnot deliveredā€ by the carrier should be filed no sooner than 7 days after the scheduled delivery date for domestic shipments and no sooner than 20 days for international shipments (including Canada).
      • Damage in Shipment: Claims for items damaged during shipment (i.e., broken, bent, crushed, etc.) should be filed as soon as the damage is discovered.
      • Packages Marked ā€œDeliveredā€ but Not Received: Claims for packages marked as ā€œdeliveredā€ but not received must be filed no sooner than 7 days after the marked delivery date and no later than 30 days from the date and time shown by the carrier. BluShark reserves the right to request proof of theft, such as a police report or security video footage.
      • Order Issues Filed Too Soon: If you file a claim on the same day the package is marked as delivered, we may ask you to wait 5 business days, as carriers sometimes prematurely mark packages as delivered when they are still in transit.

    Shipping Protections Cover:

    • Packages Presumed Lost: If your package is presumed lost by the carrier (status not marked as ā€œdeliveredā€), claims must be filed no sooner than 7 days after the last tracking update for domestic shipments and 20 days for international shipments.
    • Damage in Shipment: Shipping Protection covers items that arrive damaged and unusable.
    • Invalid Address or Delivery Barriers: Shipping Protection does not cover packages that cannot be delivered due to an invalid address, unexpected delivery barriers, or undeliverable addresses. For additional tracking information or to validate your address, contact support@blusharkstraps.com.
    • Packages Labeled ā€œReturn to Senderā€: Shipping Protection does not cover packages labeled as return to sender due to invalid addresses or refused deliveries. If your package is returned to us, please contact support@blusharkstraps.com to validate your address so it can be resent once received back.
    • Orders Stuck in Customs: Shipping Protection does not cover orders that are stuck at international borders or customs.Ā 

    I Didn't Opt-In For Order Protection

    Since you did not add our Order Protection to your order, our standardĀ processĀ applies. We understand that issues like lost or damaged packages can be frustrating. However, without Order Protection, we are unable to provide a replacement or refund for lost, stollen/missing or damaged items.

    If your package is lost, missing or damaged, here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Verify Delivery Details: Ensure that the shipping address provided was correct and check with neighbors or household members to see if the package was received by someone else.
    2. Open A Claim With TheĀ Delivery Service: Contact the carrier for information and to file a claim. In most cases when a claim is opened for a lost or damaged package the carrierĀ may issue compensation for your order. If a package is shown as delivered, USPS may not provide compensation.Ā 
    3. Report Theft: If you believe your package was stolen, you may need to file a police report.
