The quality is excellent, but the length of the strap is not. I have a 7.85 inch wrist, which is not extraordinarily large. Even so I don’t have enough strap left to slide the strap back in the keeper. Now the end of the strap sticks out a little which doesn’t look good. I have also tried the loop method so that the buckle is centered on the insiders of my wrist but the the keeper gets in the way. No more Blushark straps for me I’m afraid.

Strong and sturdy while being very comfortable. Purchased a lot of nato style straps before and had many issues with too thin of material that cant even support a watch and too sharp of burnt edges. This strap is exceptional and if/ when I need a new one I will def buy another. Or one for a different watch.

Black Alfa Shark 18mm took the place of a rotting half canvass and leather band on my citizen echo drive military style after about 6 yrs of use. Sharp look and there is no doubt this Alfa Shark will last even longer since it can handle getting wet! Great for the rough First Responder use!!

I purchased this band because I heard the cheaper bands would fray, and I didn’t want to have to deal with that. I drive a truck and don’t do any work with this band on, but it is fraying just like the cheaper ones. Maybe this happens to all bands, but have had less than a month before it started fraying. Love this company, they seem to really care about its customers.

Great looking and comfortable. The hardware looks durable and is smooth. This will be my everyday wear strap for awhile. no signs of fraying. Like with other thicker NATOs, I use curved spring bars, as my Mark 40 has minimal case clearance. I do wish that the buckle frame was a solid piece (like on the Premier I received), not attached with a spring bar, not a big deal.

1 wish.... that there were more sizing options for the buckle. Of course my wrist is the perfect in-between size where the watch is either too loose or too tight. I need to burn a new sizing hole in the strap to accommodate my wrist size now. Seems like the rectangle sizing holes are giant and spread far out - hard to find that in-between size.

The quality is great. Nice hardware and everything is smooth. I agree w/ some other reviewers on the fit, though. The holes are too far apart. I'm between two, so it's either too tight or too loose. I have nato's from other brands that are much closer together and much easier to size properly.

Honest review for the AlphaShark - shown far left (18mm), the one in the middle is the original blushark (20mm), and the one on the far right is a non-blushark "other" 18mm NATO.
***The biggest problem with the AlphaShark is that the holes are spaced too wide.***
This does not provide the usual adjustable one-size-fits-all usability of a NATO strap. So for me, my watch on the AlphaShark is either painfully unbearably too tight, or JUST loose enough to bounce around my wrist, and I can't stand a watch slipping down over the ulna head into my wrist joint and jamming my wrist up while in action. So for me, it's a total fail on that alone. I can't wear it, because it doesn't keep my watch on my wrist where I need it. Yes, I wet it, wore it for about a week regularly on the "too tight" hole hoping it would loosen up but it's just not right. The holes are spaced too far apart and maybe your experience will be different if you have a different size wrist. You can plainly see the significant difference in the hole spacing in the photo.
The nylon of the AlphaShark is nice but this hole spacing makes it unwearable for me.
Also, I ordered a couple 20 mm original blushark, the Vintage bond is perfect but the all black is ever so slightly wider than 20mm, making it difficult to do strap changes, and even threading the strap through the buckle the nylon is noticeably out of Tolerance too wide.

Picked up this one with Black PVD hardware for a "Sort Of Black" Triva Chrono, incredible look. These straps are incredibly comfortable on the wrist. No issues with Blu Shark straps.

Sturdy out of the box but requires no break-in. One of the few companies to offer PVD hardware and have it be true matte black (most places it's either not actually black or dark brushed metal). Will definitely buy again.

I’ve only worn this strap for a week and the level of fraying is terrible; especially around the holes for the buckle.

The Black NATO band arrived in my mailbox with in a week. The black nylon material was thicker and more substantial than lower quality straps. The brushed stainless hardware is the best I have seen and well worth the premium over other brands. Have been wearing daily for 3 weeks with very little fraying. I recommend.

I love the quality and feel of all of the straps I've received from BluShark, the only slight let down was that on my most recent all black alpha shark the buckle was not as shown and also different the the Bond alpha shark I purchased, it's the same buckle that was on the Orca that I ordered, now, it's still a great heavy duty buckle but I do prefer the one as shown in the picture because it's not as wide on the sides, so the inconsistent buckel was a little bit of a let down but I am still a happy customer and will be purchasing more in the future, I just hope that issue could be solved, but again, great product.

Unfortunately the strap (black 22mm) was frayed at the end and around each of the buckle pin holes, and has been getting worse with wear. I purchased another two straps at the same time however have not seen them yet as I have been away with work.

A very high quality nylon weave (seatbelt), heavy duty buckle and hardware, very comfortable, no issues with the 'added height' to the watch strap (that is a myth actually, once you wear it the supposed height is 'absorbed' by the fleshiness of the wrist). These have become my go to NATO straps and I am not going back to the cheap nato's ever !!

The AlphaShark black strap is exquisite and stylish. Can be worn with a formal attire as well as outdoors. The only compaint that I have is that the strap is a little rugged on the edges, which makes it hard to install.

This is a review 1 month after receiving Alpha Straps.
I only gave 3 stars because quality/price ratio is not as good as Original Natos from BluShark.
Although Alphas are really good quality, they also are thick, quite stiff and feels more like a leather strap on wrist. Major flaw on 2 of 3 I have is fraying, and that is just from tucking in the excess strap end. I wear these straps at my desk, for other activities I use silicone nato.
Fraying after 1 week of wear at most is not a good sign.
So, I would rather buy 2 Original Nato straps for 32$ and receive third for free, because they are thin, yet dense and elastic, and there is no sign of them being prone to fraying.
Also the Navy Alpha is noticeably softer than Black and Bond, maybe different batch.
If you read this review, I would recommend you rather buy Slim Alpha or several Original Natos.

Okay the black Alpha is an incredibly durable NATO absolutely so, that after a month of continual wear and showered in has no threads showing, no fraying, that is an absolute first for every other strap. It does have two areas I think for me are minor issues. 1) the material is somewhat stiff, now that is not a real issue except when folding back the 'tongue or tab' under the bar, it is almost too stiff takes some doing. Now associated with that is the seocnd issue, there is barely any room to slide it under 1 extra mm would suffice. Add to that having a 7.5 inch wrist this strap only has about 10mm to turn back and this has been a challenege. Would I change anything, not at all maybe an extra 10mm in length this is a superb strap, one that has exceeded expectations only one other company for my mind is worth having for an alternate style. The quality of craftmanship and service are excellent, price is steep given I am in Australia, but it has increased the look of the cheap watch it went on (my stealth EDC knock about TIMEX), and will last several years in my estimation giving it a great ROI. Blushark Alpha leads the pack! One happy customer, one great company, and a truly brilliant strap.

I bought 3 Alpha straps in different colors: Black, Navy and Bond, so I will leave one review for all of them.
My first impression is that these are really premium nato straps that can be used to dress up your watch, but for me personally not for everyday wearing. Don't get me wrong, material is really soft, sturdy and has that seatbelt feeling to it. But starps are also thick, which makes the watch stand up high from the wrist. and it can be problematic to fold and tuck in the end of the strap.
Also, distance between holes could be like on Original Nato, because for me perfect fit is right in the middle of holes.
This is a strap for a lifetime, and it can make any watch look great.

Nicest NATOs I have owned. Super soft, beautiful premium hardware, great attention to detail, what's not to like? I have an 8.25" wrist and it's difficult to find a NATO that has all of these qualities AND fits right. These fit the bill perfectly.....I'm on the 3rd from last hole and have the correct amount of tail for the keepers. I have several other high end NATOs and none check all the boxes like these do.
