Finding the perfect strap or accessory for your watch can greatly enhance comfort and style. Our sizing guides help you measure your watch accurately, ensuring the best fit. Whether you have a traditional watch or an Apple Watch, we provide step-by-step instructions to determine the ideal strap size and watch lug width. With these guides, you can confidently choose the perfect straps and accessories to enhance your watch.
• Traditional Watch Instructions:
1) Open Our Sizing Guide Here. Download Here
2) Print File. In print options dialogue box, uncheck any “shrink oversized pages to fit” or “fit to page” boxes. *IMPORTANT!*
3) After printing, test the accuracy by measuring the “one inch” test strip with a standard ruler.
4) Cut off the inch ruler from the side and wrap around your wrist to determine your wrist size.
5) Hold your watch with the lugs framing the blocks below to determine your lug width. There should be no gap or overlap.
Lug Width Measurement:
To determine your lug width, print the BluShark Watch Sizing Guide in step-1 and place your watch on the measuring blocks located on the bottom of the guide.
• Apple Watch Instructions
1) Open Our Apple Watch Sizing Guide Here. Download Here
2) Print File. In print options dialogue box, uncheck any “shrink oversized pages to fit” or “fit to page” boxes. *IMPORTANT!*

3) Cut out the tool. Position the wider end where you would wear a watch. For a more accurate measurement, you can use a piece of tape to hold the wider end in place.

4) Wrap the tool around your wrist, keeping it in place. Make sure the tool feels snug and doesn’t slide up or down.

5) Note the inch number the arrows point to – that’s your band size.

6) If the arrows land between two measurements, choose the smaller of the two numbers closest to the line.
Adapter Measurement:
To determine which size adapter you need, use the following guide:
If your Apple Watch is 42mm, 44mm, or 45mm, you’ll need an adapter that measures 22mm.
If your Apple Watch is 38mm or 40mm, you’ll need an adapter that measures 20mm.
If you have a 41mm Apple Watch, choose the 20mm adapter.
Unsure of your case size? You can usually find it on the back of your Apple Watch, near the sensor. Or, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to "My Watch" at the bottom, then tap General > About.

Skinny Fat Quick-Release Spring Bars
Get the perfect fit without the wiggle. If you’ve ever put a standard strap on a dive watch and felt an unsettling click or play at the lugs, our Skinny Fat Quick-Release Spring Bars are the fix.
These bars are engineered to solve a specific problem: bridging the gap between standard watch straps and watches built with oversized lug holes. They feature a standard-sized body to fit easily through your favorite straps, paired with a robust, oversized tip to lock securely into your watch's case. Plus, the quick-release mechanism means you can swap straps in seconds without reaching for a tool.
Specifications
-
The "Skinny" (1.7mm Body): The center barrel is 1.7mm thick, maintaining compatibility with the standard spring bar channels found on almost all and quick-release straps.
-
The "Fat" (1.0mm Tip): The ends step up to a 1.0mm thickness, designed to completely fill larger lug holes for a rock-solid, secure fit.
Watch Compatibility: Read Before Buying
These will not fit every watch. Because the 1.0mm tips are thicker than standard spring bar ends (which are typically around 0.7mm), they will not compress into standard or vintage watch lugs.
What they are for:
-
Dive watches and heavy-duty tool watches that feature oversized lug holes.
-
Many popular Seiko divers (like the SKX, Turtle, or Tuna lines) which are notorious for requiring fat tips.
-
Any watch where standard spring bars feel loose, rattle, or fail to seat completely. You should confirm the lug hole size to ensure the fit.
What they are NOT for:
-
Standard everyday wearers, dress watches, or vintage pieces with traditional, narrower lug holes. Trying to force a 1.0mm tip into a standard 0.8mm lug hole can damage your watch case or get the spring bar permanently stuck. For watches with small lug holes, you'll want our Standard Quick Release Spring Bars.
Available in 18mm, 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, and 24mm sizes.
